Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between BLS/Healthcare Provider CPR and First Aid CPR & AED Training?
BLS/Healthcare Provider CPR is designed for those that work in the healthcare profession (required for those that work in a hospital setting). BLS/Healthcare Provider CPR includes 1 and 2 man CPR, rescue breathing, bag & mask, use of AED, calling a code and relief of choking. At the end of the BLS/Healthcare Provider CPR there is a 25 question exam, which requires you to pass with 84% or better to receive your card.
First Aid CPR & AED Training is designed for non-medical people. It includes one man CPR, use of AED, basic first aid and relief of choking training, adult and infant.
After I complete the course, when will I receive my certification?
A Fun CPR Class issues all of their certifications at the end of their courses. Many CPR companies will not issue a certificate the day of the course, but your certification is mailed to you month later. Not at "A Fun CPR Class". You will receive your certification to your e-mail address at the end of the course. No waiting! We can print your certification off for you at our location (at the end of the course) for no additional cost.

American Heart Association certifications are good for 2 years.

Is there anything I need to bring to the class with me?
No. All you have to bring is your willing attitude to learn life saving techniques that will help people in emergency situations. We will provide all training materials and equipment needed to perform the skills portion of the class.
What is a training class like?
A Fun CPR Class has long delivered on a commitment of having 1 training mannequin for every student in the course. This gives the students a significant amount of practice time during the training course. CPR demonstration on mannequins involves sitting on the floor for extended periods of time and bending over the mannequin to perform chest compressions. Students should prepare for the course by dressing for comfort and modesty. Students that are physically unable to sit on the floor are encouraged to place the mannequins on to tables available in the training room.
